Turkish exports to Russia fall almost threefold in January
ANKARA, Feb 1 (PRIME) -- Turkish exports to Russia fell to U.S. $119 million in January from $313 million in the same period of 2014, as seen by PRIME in data of the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly on Monday.
In 2015, Turkish exports to Russia fell 38% to $3.7 billion.
The relations between the countries deteriorated after Turkey downed Russia’s Su-24 bomber in November 2015. Moscow wanted Ankara to pay compensation, but Ankara refused.
